Genealogy by the States – Week 33 – Oregon
This week’s blogging prompt is the State of Oregon. Blog about an ancestor or your families connection to Oregon. If you don’t have any connections to Oregon, find a Oregon resource useful for genealogy research to highlight and write about. This week’s prompt runs from 8/18/2013 – 8/24/2013. If you choose to follow along, I would appreciate a mention to the Hidden Genealogy Nuggets website.

My family connection to the state of Oregon is pretty remote but does exist. Darrel Brown was born in Oregon. He married Doris Sanders a second cousin once removed of mine. Doris and her family moved to California and I’m not sure what happened to that branch of the family. A first cousin once removed of mine had done some research and I believe contacted the family back in the 1970s. However, I’ve tried to locate descendants of this line on the West Coast to no avail.
